The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been rampant.

The first season introduces a diverse group of personalities living within the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service specifically in mind," the showrunner stated recently. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season moves, and how much of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people create a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
